In-Home-Euthanasia

Scheduling

We are not an emergency service. Please have a plan in place should an emergency arise. You can view other End-of-Life Providers and local Emergency Clinics here.

Appointments are generally available every day of the week. If possible, we recommend scheduling at least a day or two in advance, but same day appointments are sometimes available. Same-day and after-hour appointments may incur an additional cost - see our pricing page here.

Process

The following is the basic explanation of the process. However, a benefit of choosing in-home euthanasia is that we are able to customize and personalize the process given your unique pet and situation.

We perform the actual euthanasia in 2 steps:

1. Initially, we administer pain medication, anti-anxiety medication, and sedative. If your pet is still interested in food, this is a great time for cheeseburgers, ice cream sandwiches, anything (s)he still loves.

You can sit with your pet throughout the entire process including as (s)he becomes comfortable, relaxed, sleepy, and eventually fully anesthetized.

We can do this wherever you and your pet are most comfortable. You determine who is present (people and/or pets) and the environment (quiet, music, etc.) - whatever is most calming.

2. When your pet is ready, we give the final injection. Know that you can be present for as much or as little as you choose. If you have a blanket that your pet can lie on and can come with him/her, that is ideal, but not essential.

Cost

The cost for In-Home Euthanasia is based upon the weight of your pet, starting at $425. For more detailed pricing, please visit our pricing and services page.

After Care

You are welcome to take care of burial or cremation arrangements yourself. Alternatively, we can make the arrangements for cremation and take care of your pet's body for you.
